Appointments

Appointments for a GP consultation are not necessary for consultations at the morning surgeries. Patients are requested to attend between 8.30-10 to be seen by a GP.  If possible, please try to attend morning surgery, leaving evening surgery open for those at work.

Evening surgery is for appointments only.

Ambulance Service

An emergency is defined as an incident requiring an immediate "blue light" response, irrespective of source. For example, any life threatening incident or incident where the caller is unsure whether the incident is life threatening (car crash, chest pain, unknown collapse, fits, overdose). Not all incidents require an emergency ambulance. Common sense should be used but if unsure dial 999.

If a heart attack is suspected, dial 999.

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:30 if you require a home visit.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
